When introduced, the new subcompact two tool combo had the drill and impact, two batteries, charger and bag for $150. This is a good deal when you add in the brushed multi tool and sawzall.

Thanks for commenting. This set is $349 at Home Depot; seemed like a pretty good price at $220. But the community has spoken and said otherwise.

Too bad. You're effectively getting the two saws for $35/ea. this is a good deal for a DIY setup.

I think this is getting downvoted due to this not being the FUEL brushless gear which is the really good m12 stuff. For anyone doing stuff at home I think this set is more then enough but then you may as well go with ryobi or something else on the cheaper end. I'm still super tempted to grab this for the cheap smaller format gear to dip my toe into m12 will hold out for something better from Home Depot since woots return policy isn't great.

Edit: searched SD and this looks like a pretty decent deal though maybe not FP

I don't know about the sawzall but that's definitely the Gen 1 multi tool.. I have the Gen 2 to replace my DeWalt which is leaps ahead of both.
Also the 5ah battery is the one you want to power all the m12 stuff, not just because of the longevity but also the available wattage/ amps it provides to the tool. Check out the Torque Channels testing videos...very enlightening

I have the brushed version of this set from 2013 and I can tell you that set was more than enough for DIY projects. These new sub compact brushless version are probably as good or better than the gen 1 fuels. Hard to beat 4 tools and 2 batteries for $220 in the m12 platform.

I have everything except the multi tools they are plenty for most people's needs, as a matter of fact even tho I have more tools than 75 contractors could ever need the size and weight of these make me grab them very often, the hacksaw is so small and light perfect for breaking down larger items for trash day. The impact and drill are both great all considered and they are 199 alone not too long ago.
