The ymmv $10 husky bite wrench sets SAE and metric posted here a couple days ago are a better value if they are available at a nearby Home Depot.

Earlier today at my local Lowes, they had many of the individually sold Craftsman sockets and wrenches on sale inside the pull out drawers. Sockets were either .99 or 2.99 and all the wrenches on sale were 4.99.

That was months ago they clearanced those out. Surprise you have any left. You in a rural area with just 500 citizens?

I live in a city of almost a million people metro. Funny enough the Lowes associate was placing the marked down price labels on the tools in the drawers when I walked by, which is what tipped me off to the sale. There was a sale on Kobalt sockets and tools recently which might be what you're thinking of?

Two annoying things about these:
They are about an inch shorter than competitors wrenches
They are only six point so you get half as many positions to place the box end on

These are great wrenches. Good grab and handles a little previous screw rounding with ease.

  1. These are Long Pattern wrenches, so they are longer than a standard wrench. For instance, the 19mm Overdrive is 1.75" longer than the standard Craftsman Raised Panel 19mm that everyone grew up with.
  2. Since these are designed to remove stuck nuts, they have 6 sides; making them much less likely to strip a bolt head than a 12 sided box end.

Look at this video if you want to see the difference between Spline, 6 and 12 sided box ends (TLDW 12 sided delivered 47% less torque than 6 sided before slipping):
