This is a good kit and getting it on sale used to be a great deal, several Frontpage postings. Then Harbor Freight started selling the same kit with their Bauer brand and it's $30 regular price. I have both (mom's house) and they're almost exact copies. The Ridgid hose and crevice tools are slightly better, but not enough that it's worth paying more.

TLDR:

If you want one now, $30 is a good deal for the Ridgid. If you want the best price, then wait for Harbor Freight to put theirs on sale.

This is a good kit and getting it on sale used to be a great deal, several Frontpage postings. Then Harbor Freight started selling the same kit with their Bauer brand and it's $30 regular price. I have both (mom's house) and they're almost exact copies. The Ridgid hose and crevice tools are slightly better, but not enough that it's worth paying more.

The Bauer one I had to return because the hose didn't have a way to clip to my ryobi vac and it kept falling off. Getting the ridgid but otherwise yes the Bauer is a nice kit and goes on sale at times for $20

Wow, this is a good point. I use these with smaller shop vacs that don't have a lip to clip on to, but if your vacuum can hold the clip, that would be a big difference.

No, the hose end that attaches to the vacuum is the standard size, no adapter need or anything. The nozzle that the attachments connect to is 1.25''. I've had this kit for a few years now, it's great.

It's good. I use it with my large Ridgid 16 gal shop vac..the thin crevese tool is perfect for dog hair out of car carpet

It's perfect for your larger Ridgid vac. The larger end of the hose is 2 1/2" and will clip (thanks harleybogey) to your vac. The other end is 1 1/4" for the attachments.

This thing is the bee's knees, especially the extra long hose that you can snake through the cabin of vehicles without having to mess with moving the vacuum around. Highly recommend if you have a Ridgid shop vac.
