This isn't a deal, except these guitars sell out quick. So if you missed them last time now's you chance. Unfortunately, they aren't selling the full size pink, which is the one I want.

I ordered one of the 3 string electrics this morning. I should get it this week.
I ordered that one also. I have an original BLACK full size (with OG soft case), an original PINK mini-strat, and the recently released WHITE full size (with extra pink case), and was hoping for another chance to get the PINK full size when/if they restocked the latest collection. But, nooooooooooooooooooooooooo. The fuzz pedal from the first release was pink, and is selling for around $300 used, but the fuzz pedal from this release is black and is selling for $125 on the Fender site. I don't need a fuzz. The first release back in 2006 went for 3 years to 2009, so I'm holding out hope that Fender will re-issue the pink. BTW: the price gouging for the first recent release has abated....hahaha.
This is a Squire brand right? Is this a norm price these days? I remember buying my american standard strat for a $1000 before covid. Squires were sub 200 budget lines... maybe that all changed now.

This is a special edition collaboration that sold out quickly earlier this year. I believe it was $500 then. Fender seems to have raised all their prices since then. This does come with a Hello Kitty case. A single Humbucker Sonic series Strat is $230. Affinity series is about $310 and Classic Vibe around $450 (though neither has a single Humbucker version). The branding and case make this more than other Squier models. I'm not sure if the build compares best to a Sonic, Affinity, or Classic Vibe model.

I have the WHITE one from the first offering, and it's a nice enough guitar and certainly playable. The one thing that stood out for me was the tuning pegs are plastic. On the original from 2006, they were metal. Not a deal breaker for me. Also, the originals were made in Indonesia, and the new issues are are made in China. The old one feels a bit more solid to me. BUT the new ones have some nice touches, like the fret inlays are red instead of black. The headstock has the same color as the body, and there's a little HK on there as well. So lots of nice branding touches that didn't come on the first issue. The included case is probably worth $75 to $100, easy (branding). So if you put it all together, not a bad deal for a world recognized branding exercise. But if you're not into HK, then you might want to spend the same amount on an upspec guitar.

I'm not into Hello Kitty and nearly bought one when they came out months ago just to stick a Black Winter in it and tune it to drop A. I did pick up the fuzz pedal this time though.
Well, I got my Fender x Loog x Hello Kitty guitar and it ain't bad. It's playable with no fret buzz. It is the same price as the Fender x Loog , but with HK branding, so that's a pretty good deal. It has the G B E high strings on it, but I think you could change those out to the low E A D IF you used very light strings like an 8 - 38 set. I will eventually try that out. So I'm happy with the "instrument". Now Fender, re-issue the PINK standard strat........so I can give you more of my money.
