I just make anything that needs signed for arrives around Thursday/Friday that way they redeliver it on Saturday lol
Back and fourth with these clowns at Metro wireless and the they told me to contact UPS. I did and UPS told me it couldn't be changed unless I bought this premium membership. I told them "So you would rather deliver the package to an empty lot than my house because I'm not paying for this? good luck with that!"
I did a credit card charge back! I hate Metro. And will never give UPS a dime. Hope their delivery man had fun driving down a dirt road and dropping off the metro phone in the middle of a dirt field! You shouldn't have to pay for these services but it's now some big scam. Where if a company gets your address wrong UPS sees dollar signs and would rather deliver to some dirt field. Pretty much they hold your package hostage.
Recent example on a small package from Canada… item value $35, tariff $14, UPS broker fee $24. No way to challenge or self sign, for "my convenience" they automatically handle it and charge me.

And I agree with others...FEDEX is better than UPS.

4. Uncheck the little square box "I want UPS to automatically renew my Premium membership.
5. Click the "Save Changes" button
They also see dollar signs in tariffs - where now they tack on "broker fees" that often exceed the tariff itself. <br />

What the heck is "broker fee"?
I'd argue that, at least for signing, it's for their convenience.
