With the UPS My Choice I had last year, I was never ONCE able to reschedule or hold or modify a shipment in any way. It always gave some kind of generic "sorry, unable to change delivery date / location for this package" no matter how far in advance or close of a timeframe I tried to do it within.

Pretty much they are giving you what should be for free. You guys paying for this is why they now charge for it.

I don't understand why people are paying for a service that used to be free.

When you say free, do you mean that we can already redirect to a UPS Store for free even without buying a membership? Or do you mean that doing it without a membership costs money but buying a membership makes it free?

I believe if you have a free My Choice membership, it costs $6 per package to redirect it. With My Choice Premium, there's no additional cost. So if you do that at least 3 times in a year, the Premium membership makes sense. Otherwise, just pay per package.

I've had poor service with UPS over many years in business. FedEx is not perfect, but working much better for me here in CA. My usual driver is an independent and non union delivery person and always gives the extra effort to get the delivery done.

I must be dumb because I don't see any options to renew. My sub is up on Jan 11, 2026.

A burger used to be a nickel, I don't understand why people are paying $10 for a burger that used to be nearly free.

Do you now see how silly your argument is, unless you have a flying DeLorean?

How long will they hold it there for you?

Edit: 7 days.

If you didn't pay, then they wouldn't charge for it. What argument are you even making? Don't pay, no Deloreon needed my dude. Be smarter.

Yes, officially 7 days. I've had the people working in the store tell me that they could have held it longer if I called and asked. I'm sure that's YMMV and depends on of the people working there and if you're abusing it.

UPS is wayyyy better than FedEx in my area so YMMV
Agreed. I never trust FedEx. TWICE at separate addresses they left my package in the middle of the sidewalk far away from my address. Once it was a laptop. Luckily a neighbor spotted it and brought it to me. I complained and they sent me a FedEx branded pen to apologize.
