I'm still debating this dual or single tray, I know the dual tray is kind small, any input fellas?

IMO, it doesn't make sense to me to buy a fryer that has a MAX of 6.5L just because 5L might be too small sometimes. It doesn't feel like a problem to me to fill up dual 5L baskets about 75% if I ever have something that takes more volume.

To me it feels like missing out on a lot of features ONLY because of a narrow band of when you have 5.1-6.5L to air fry (when you can still fry that much volume anyway), and then I would also miss out on the ability to fry ANYTHING over 6.5L or do 2 things at once like chicken nuggets and fries at the same time for my kids.

I just upgraded from the single basket version to this same model yesterday. The only reason I upgraded was because I accidentally dropped the old one and bent the basket, making it unusable. My wife and I decided to pull the trigger on this one... what really sold me was being able to cook two different foods at the same time. When you cook protein and sides in batches one always ends up getting cold, but with the dual-basket setup, everything is hot and ready to eat at once.

really surprised by that, it does not work well when using both baskets in my experience, takes way longer because it just can't pull enough power to get both sides hot.
This was my experience too. I got rid of it because it wasn't worth it when running both baskets at the same time

rtings replied back to my comment I made on the review, so yeah they mostly tested it with one basket:
"Hey! In our frying tests, we used one basket, but we also ran additional testing to see how performance changes when both baskets are active. When only one basket is in use, the heating element and fan receive full power. When both compartments are running, that power will alternate between the two heating elements. This can lead to longer cook times and have an affect to temperature stability compared to using a single basket.

Thank you for reaching out!"
