PowerA is a well known brand. I own some of their cheap Xbox controllers (like 7$ on sale). And also a fusion pro with 4 paddles.
They are older than 8Bit but do not market as much as they used to.
I think this would be fine as a backup controller for single player games. For comp, you'd have to fork up money for probably the gamesir Nova or better.

I was reading on the Best Buy app what are the compatible platforms but the title clearly lists the X and S. Picked up two. Thanks!

For this price its worth taking a shot on for sure.
But if you are a daily gamer, Id recommend spending a few more bucks and getting a Gamesir T7 as a reliable replacement/daily driver. Im an ex professional gamer, so I have tried the most elite controllers to the low budget and the Gamesir brand is value for a daily gamer. It is wired but I prefer it that way - less worry about batteries & battery packs not working. Just my thoughts.

i bought one of these with rgb lights from a garage sale for $5. took it apart cause it wouldnt work. one of the plastic pieces inside that the trigger sits on. was broken. and there was corrosion on the motherboard in various areas with no water stains anywhere. it felt nice to hold in my opinion. but pushing the buttons didnt feel satisfying

Great extra controllers to have, or as others have said, for little kids when they come over. Usually get at least a year out of PowerA under intense reckless care (a.k.a. - children). I'll add that the cord is usually the worst thing about these (length or quality). Otherwise, great controller and even better at this price!
