I keep using lineman pliers to pull small nails which ends up creating a gap in the nose. Is this a better tool for that?

For pulling nails, a pair of dedicated pliers would be best. I bought a pair of "Crescent Leverage nail pulling pliers" off a previous SD and they are great.

I'd be more inclined to to buy the 4 pack of straight and V jawed pliers for $39.97 because you some times need the V jaw to grab ahold of something round or octangular like conduit fittings.

I use vise-grips if the nails are really hard to pull. Otherwise I use diagonal cutters.

Dont pull nails with these, your fingers will get crushed in the handles, They aren't like typical pliers where a gap remains in the handle when the face is fully closed. I use thee for plumbing and electrical work

Nice that the handles come pre-stripoed for reaming, although I feel like stripping the end of crescent handles is the sign of a true pro

Don't use these for electrical work! They're not designed for that. Notice the open, bare metal at the end.

The reason for not having coating on the end of the handles is FOR electrical work. Many electricians use the handles for reaming out the inside of cut conduit.

The coating on the handles isn't for insulation, it is only for comfort and grip.
