Can't vouch for the price or savings but I have this set and it's solid (albeit a bit limited in size selections)

I have the older version of this set - with the rachet hanging outside the case.

As the above folks mentioned, it is a cool set and I've used it more than however much I paid for it.

Also, the case has not broken yet and it's been moved around and tossed in a toolbag most of its life.

What is the appeal of these chubby tools? They look more like toys than tools.Just curious.

Great for using in tight spaces like engine bays, behind things, inside cabinets etc and it's stubby not chubby

I have the older version of this and they are amazing for small or medium tasks. Gets the job done for sure and very very long lasting!

The appeal isn't necessarily the chubby tools. It's a handy set to have around when you don't need to break out the big 270 piece or whatever set.

I have the old version with the ratchet hanging outside, and surprisingly the case hasn't broken yet. The ratchet hasn't even fallen out, and it looks like it should 🤣

Also a good gift for someone who doesn't normally use tools but may one day find themselves in need of a socket or torx bit. Ask me how I know.

These are great for my basic ultralight tool pouch 'go-kit'. This, some pliers a tape measure and wire stripper covers 75% of what I might run I to. Wish it had a pouch for my glasses.

Got this set on an emergency stop on the way to LA from Vegas for a headlight issue in my suv. I now just keep it in there.

I find that these stubby tools often have better ergonomics than standard designs.

Same for me. These are great to keep around in the house and has saved me from rummaging for tools and the case is still in once piece despite the kids 'helping' with repairs.

I put this set in all my cars (and my relatives). Everyone has had to use them scores of times.
