I have seen both the Costco and Sam's Club Black Friday/Cyber Monday ads so far, and it seems to me that the "deals" this year, are just what the normal prices of the items would be without the tariffs. Like, the PS5 deals out there are just bringing it down to the price that it was before Sony raised the prices. I also think that making Black Friday the whole month long has really diluted the quality of the sales. There is no need for door busters when everybody shops online.

To be fair, last few years of 'black Friday' haven't been anywhere near spectacular.

This 98 inch TCL QLED Google TV stands out for its huge screen, 144 hertz refresh rate, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support, and the bundled free large TV mounting service. The Walmart listing is tied to the TCL 98Q651G model, and the TV can be used offline by selecting HDMI without connecting to the internet. The main concerns are that this is the 2024 non mini LED version, the install is handled through Angi, and some orders or shipping options have been unavailable or canceled. It looks like a strong value if you want a giant screen and can handle the logistics.

Common Questions (5)

  • The Walmart 98Q51CG appears to be the same TCL 98-inch QLED Google TV family as the Best Buy 98Q55K, with nearly identical core specs like 144Hz, QLED, and AIPQ Pro. The Walmart version is also described as having Google Chromecast built in, while the Best Buy version adds AirPlay 2.

    MusicsAllWeGotTalentedSofa5976rohit421djschny

  • Yes, the listing includes free large TV installation through Angi, but the mount is sold separately and you must provide your own compatible mount. The service covers mounting an eligible customer-supplied TV to studs on brick, concrete, drywall, or wood, but wire concealment is not included.

  • A 98-inch TV can be difficult to move through apartments, corners, and tight entryways, and it needs a low mounting position for comfortable viewing. Buyers also need to verify viewing distance and confirm the mount matches the TV's VESA pattern before ordering.

  • Yes. You can power it on and select HDMI input without connecting it to Wi‑Fi or using the Google TV interface, so it can function like a basic display for a media PC.

    Chevyguy85McPhreaky1990Chevyguy85

  • No, the 98-inch model on sale is the 2024 Q6/Q51CG version and is not mini-LED. The 2025 model is the one described as having mini-LED, along with Wi‑Fi 7.

Remember when deals were so good, people would sleep in a tent for days just in order to be one of the first to get into the store? Yeah, lately the deals aren't anywhere near that good.
You can still in a tent outside the store. Don't let your dreams die out.

My guess would be the TCL Q6 (98Q651G); its currently priced at $1498.
Just checked Walmart site. Not available for shipping and delivery. Also the 5 stores on Oahu are out of stock.

I could only imagine this being mounted too high and folks necks begging for assistance. At this ratio this would truly need to be mounted LOW and folks gotta be able to sit back to enjoy it.

I was considering getting that TV to replace my 85 inch Sony, but after seeing the rtings on it, I will definitely will have to pass. I wasn't expecting the ratings to be spectacular, but it's not good for gaming, sports, or movies

What the F. What kind of a person reminisces about camping outside a store to score a few items at a discount like some dystopian movie. Nothing fun about an old lady door greeter at Walmart getting crushed to death under the sliding door that the zombie horde pushed through. That was never cool and will never be cool.
Yeah that sucks that some people did it hurt eventually, but BF used to be something really special, a lot of people miss it, including me
