The $419 variant comes with DJI Googles N3 compatible with Avata2 and DJI O4.
I impulse bought it last time it was on discount and it is a good intro into FPV. I been flying myself for years, needed many hours of sim practice before actual flying, and this combo makes it super easy, decent video as well. Family and friends love it. For seasoned FPV person it is quite sluggish but still fun.

What SIM did you use? And any nausea when starting to fly FPV?

Fpvfreerider is my favorite for being lightweigth, supporting all my radios and even available on tablet to try.
Nausea, andrenaline rush, sweats... everything. Not with this drone though. I have quads that can do 8G and 100+MPH in 2 sec, those are scary. This one... perhaps 1.5G, and flying with that controller is super easy to master
You get used to it all, but some people cant even watch the video

what does it mean, "self flying"? does it need a controller? or is it just meant to follow you around for vlogging, etc?
Both, can be used by itself with a cell phone or for longer distance with a controller, The neo is awesome. I use it by itself while walking trails with my wife and with a controller for longer and higher distance
