Home Depot steps up big time this holiday season? This is a fantastic deal. Personally, I am not a big fan of black colored tools. I prefer chrome. But that could just be me.

These are perfect for swapping into sets that came with shitty non-quickrelease ratchets.
Hate fighting to pull small sockets off the flatheads that came in in my Icon and V-Series sets.

In the past I would have recommended a cheap set from SATA [amazon.com] but they dont seem to make them anymore. The Husky having the benifit of easy warranty swap is more appealing now anyway. If I had not already acquired Gearwrech 90T's [amazon.com] when individuals were cheap I would for sure get these.

Home depot, and other retailers, must be hurting for sales to be stepping up the deals pre black Friday.

Just a heads up -- these are 100 tooth ratchets. Now, that might sound appealing since it requires such a small turn to advance the ratchet....but the tradeoff is you have exceptionally low torque.

In other words, if you use them on your car or lawn mower, you'll probably utterly destroy the ratcheting mechanism the first time you put any effort behind it. These are for very low-torque applications....stuff that's brand new, "machine threading" that's very fine, etc.

It's super aesthetically pleasing to use with black sockets, but totally agreed that I'd rather not use it with chrome sockets

Thanks for sharing this. I thought they might be a good replacement for my Kobalt ratchets, which work fine but are pretty bulky by today's standards. Those Kobalts take a cheater pipe no problem if I don't have access to a breaker bar. And I really don't want to have highly situational tools, as they just take up space and money.

It is interesting that they give you extra length in a low torque ratchet, though...

Threads on GJ suggest these have a 50-tooth anvil with dual pawls, similar to Gearwrench's 120xp. Should be just fine for using them on your car or lawn mower.
