Just a note on these, once opened, you really need to use them within about 7 days. They don't last, they may last longer in a sealed glass jar after opening than this packaging.

FYI they're white or brown onions with coloring, carrot juice only maybe added to make them red. They're not pickled red onions. They also add a lot of sugar to them.

A 3lb pack of onions by me is about $2.50…

So this pouch in OP is even cheaper than that. Without all the cutting and pickling necessary.

It's a good price.

Seems like an excellent opportunity for a food vacuum sealer

Never had pickled onions before and to be honest first impression is pretty funky and unappetizing (What's with the high sugar content? Guess it's being used as a natural preservative).

But the low price and high quantity brings out the hoarding cheap basterd in me so I'm in for 2 @ $4.60 each (Coupons/discounts are reusable); thanks OP.

I can't say, sometimes once things are exposed to air, even if re-vacuum sealed, they may spoil. Not sure if they can be frozen for longer shelf life.

I thought the same.... but the added sugar is a pass for me.

Was around four dollars last night. What's the packaging made of? Bpa? Acidic food in plastic probably a bad idea
