I have this hat and I definitely like it. It looks nice, it's very soft, and its colors make it almost universally accessible. Two small complaints. It squeezes my head a little more than I prefer. It will hurt my head for very long wears. Also it's quite tall. You really have to pull it way down your head in order to keep it from bunching on top (I don't have hair)

They are OK for mild winters. Bought and returned last year. Not warm enough for Midwest winters

Definitely looks very tall. Even on the models you can see that it sticks out A LOT.

If it's not fleece-lined, it's definitely not worth it for Midwest winters, regardless of the "Carhartt" label.
