Great to retain framerate and get a bigger screen but, FSR/XeSS/DLSS look horrible on a 1080p screen.
Most 2020s games expect the player to use those scaling features; I would recommend 1440p be your minimum.

I don't agree that most 2020s games expect the player to use scaling. Maybe you mean they're so poorly optimized that you have no choice but to use scaling? But that shouldn't be necessary when gaming at 1080p, which most modern GPUs will run perfectly smooth without any scaling (cyberpunk with full RT being an exception).
