Returns. You don't have to ship it back to Bambu Lab if you have a problem.

Mico Center has great customer service.

I believe Best Buy is also having the sale

it's $27 cheaper for the P1S + AM2 Pro combo through microcenter ($592 via microcenter vs $619 via Bambu [bambulab.com]), and no shipping if you're lucky enough to have a local microcenter, EDIT: ah, bambu has free shipping!

Buy from Bambu and you would also get 50% off filament, so you should stock up on that. Also recommend a hardened steel hot end and a super tack plate, all on sale at bambu

This Bambu Lab P1S Combo with AMS 2 Pro is mainly appealing as a local pickup deal that avoids shipping damage and makes returns easier. The MicroCenter price is only slightly below Bambu direct once the bundle differences are accounted for, but MicroCenter is an authorized dealer and the in store pickup adds convenience. Bambu direct can be better if the 50 percent filament and accessory discounts matter, especially for extra parts and special filaments. The main tradeoff is MicroCenter's 15 day return window and the fact that the P1S may feel small for some multicolor projects.

  • In-store pickup can reduce the risk of shipping damage such as broken doors or bent frames.

  • Buying from MicroCenter can simplify returns because you may not need to ship the printer back to Bambu Lab.

    mickey1987

  • Purchasing from Bambu can add value by including 50% off filament, which supports stocking up on materials.

    ranova

  • MicroCenter is an authorized dealer of Bambu Labs, which can help with confidence in the purchase channel.

    hisbiz

  • The MicroCenter savings may shrink because the $619 Bambu bundle includes a combo hub while the cheaper version includes only a buffer.

    jrinco11TamsToyShop

  • MicroCenter returns for 3D printers are limited to a 15-day return policy.

    edrock200

  • Shipping risk can still be a concern when ordering online, since reports describe broken doors and bent frames on arrival.

    kcobra

  • If the combo is sold out, adding the individual items to the cart may not always match the combo pricing when stock varies by location.

ah you're right - the $619 version at bambu is the one with the hub (which allows connecting more than one AMS and has a built in buffer) vs one with just a buffer at $599, so only a savings of $8 going w/the microcenter one

Good price but if P2S goes for 799 as it should might be worth 200 more to get that. Lots of upgrades.

I got the A1 Combo and will get the P2S when they release. I figured that was the way to go ... at least for now.

I know that some of the 3d printer companies only honor their warranties if you buy from an authorized reseller. Does bambu labs work like that, and if so, is Microcenter an authorized reseller?
