This Bambu Lab P1S Combo with AMS 2 Pro is mainly appealing as a local pickup deal that avoids shipping damage and makes returns easier. The MicroCenter price is only slightly below Bambu direct once the bundle differences are accounted for, but MicroCenter is an authorized dealer and the in store pickup adds convenience. Bambu direct can be better if the 50 percent filament and accessory discounts matter, especially for extra parts and special filaments. The main tradeoff is MicroCenter's 15 day return window and the fact that the P1S may feel small for some multicolor projects.

  • In-store pickup can reduce the risk of shipping damage such as broken doors or bent frames.

  • Buying from MicroCenter can simplify returns because you may not need to ship the printer back to Bambu Lab.

  • Purchasing from Bambu can add value by including 50% off filament, which supports stocking up on materials.

  • MicroCenter is an authorized dealer of Bambu Labs, which can help with confidence in the purchase channel.

  • The MicroCenter savings may shrink because the $619 Bambu bundle includes a combo hub while the cheaper version includes only a buffer.

  • MicroCenter returns for 3D printers are limited to a 15-day return policy.

  • Shipping risk can still be a concern when ordering online, since reports describe broken doors and bent frames on arrival.

  • If the combo is sold out, adding the individual items to the cart may not always match the combo pricing when stock varies by location.

it's $27 cheaper for the P1S + AM2 Pro combo through microcenter ($592 via microcenter vs $619 via Bambu [bambulab.com]), and no shipping if you're lucky enough to have a local microcenter, EDIT: ah, bambu has free shipping!
No the 619.00 one comes with the different filament buffer

chances of tustin restocking anytime soon Frown
Possible but probably kind of low as these sales are likely closeout/inventory clear out because of the new models.

Awesome. I've been waiting for this. Jumping on it.
Do you think the X1C will go on sale closer to Black Friday?
BestBuy already had a similar closeout sale last week with $200 off the X1C combo (at sale price, I think it was $800) but quickly sold out so I'm guessing they were cleaning out all inventory.

It's very likely the X1C is going away now that there is a P2S. It's still a great machine, I have one, but at this point it's do you want a 250x250 bed? If so P2S. Need bigger? H1S. Need multiple nozzles? H2D.

Returns. You don't have to ship it back to Bambu Lab if you have a problem.

Mico Center has great customer service.

I believe Best Buy is also having the sale
Just a heads up, it's only 15d return policy for 3d printers.

What is the benefit to get it from micro center instead of bambu lab?
Many horror stories on FB/Reddit of people receiving busted up Bambu printers from shipping damage. Broken doors, bent frames, etc. Always best to buy locally if you can.

Should I get this or H2D? I'd consider the H2S but it's not on sale (and sold out). It's like the P1S isn't quite big enough and is super wasteful for multicolor. On the other hand you can buy a lot of filament poop for the $1400 price difference.

I have this on hold at micro Center locally but it's 45 minutes away. Should I let it expire and just order directly from the manufacturer website? They have half off of pla and accessories with the order. It is that shipping risky versus picking it up

If your store was sold out check again tomorrow. You can pre order from MS w/o a credit card, and they actually hold the item. So I'm sure some ppl placed orders and didn't actually pick up and pay for the printer. If they don't get it today it will go back into their inventory.
