I purchased this for the lift away feature to do the stairs. The two attachments that come with it are terrible.

The reviews are 3.5/5.0 on Shark's website which isn't good given how inflated reviews are on these sites.

Can you elaborate please. I'm interested in one since Consumer Reports rated it a 78/100 Smart Buy.

Price matched Amazon to Lowe's. Thanks OP and repped.

Wife was nagging me for not buying this at full price last week. Now I get to show her how much money we saved when I tell her to vacuum our filthy house.

What is the price at Lowe's? I thought Amazon didn't price match.

Some people give it one star because it has too much suction power and they never read manual so don't know there is a adjustment ring on the handle. I think it worth the price.
Pro. Good material and build quality. Very good to clean up cat hair on the sofa.
Con. Easy to fall off because small base. A little heavy because they use thick material.

The basic machine should be the same as UV730 from Costco. However, the UV730 does have the self-cleaning brushroll, and one extra attachment.

IIRC this is one of The Wirecutter's top picks for many years, until recently it might have been displaced.

I bought mine from Walmart, as they used to sell them for $100 a few years ago. Some buyers will want to seek out the self-cleaning brushroll.

I glanced at some of the negative reviews, and some seem a little weird. I would normally never purchase something with an avg 3.5/5 but this seems to be an exception. Some reviewers complained that the unit died, which is a very valid complaint. But Shark offers a 5 year warranty, so all they really lost was time and trouble.

After post-pandemic inflation, $102 is a very good price IMHO.

All of retail had the same or similar Navigator model available around the holidays the last 2 years. I got one, the performance just wasn't great. I ended up with a Shark Vertex that has the dual brushes and it works infinitely better. I paid around $150 at the time. The Navigator was right around $100, maybe just under.

My other main complaint with the Navigator vacs is they really don't get close to edges when vacuuming floors. The suction and the beater just doesn't allow you to get close to walls/furniture/etc. The suction power was "fine" but definitely isn't as powerful as the Vertex.

IMO, this vac should start at $100 and be discounted from there. It was never worth $200.

Anything made by Shark/Ninja is planned obsolescence e-waste. They're designed to fail as soon as the warranty ends. They intentionally hide filters behind parts most consumers wouldn't look (and no one reads manuals), so it experiences a loss of suction after a year and/or the motor fails from the clogged filter. The few parts that are repairable are never in stock (by design). They also have a more narrow vaccum base than the rest of the market so that they can claim higher suction (because of the narrower opening), but then they take more cleaning passes than other vaccums because of that narrow base. That said, there aren't really any options in the $100 price range that aren't disposable junk. If you're on a budget, and as long as you're aware that these are essentially disposable, you can make them work. Just read the manual and change/wash the filter when you should, and it might last a couple years instead of one-ish. Buying a another Shark when the old one fails will end up costing more in the long run than getting a buy-it-for-life vaccum like a Meile, Sebo, Numatic, etc.
