Same Price as on Bambu Labs site. Bambu Lab site also gives the option to do the AMS Pro 2 for $50 more for those that are interested in that upgrade.

ams2 pro is definitely worth the upgrade from AMS1. Looks like its $70 more, but, yes, get AMS2 pro

Does it make sense to buy this for 550 + taxes compared to centauri carbon 280 + 30 shipping an no taxes if I don't care about the ams?
No, but you have to be 100% sure that you will never use multi filament.

Also if you don't care about ams you can get the p1s for 399.

Now they are willing to put on sale after I buy the AnyCubic Kobra S1 Combo

Given this black friday sale lasts ages and some people think mid november might be when they release the p2s for the us market, I think I'm going to wait to see what the p2s ams2 combo pricing will be. If it's $800 I think that's a better buy than the $620 for the p1s and ams2 combo.
Ams2 combo is 599 unless you're planning on daisy chaining more ams2's.

I would avoid the centauri if you are remotely annoyed at having to fiddle with your printer. I've barely needed to fiddle with the p1s. The centauri has been a headache. I don't know how many times I've taken the extruder apart. It was working fine after elegoo replaced the entire printhead but it started clogging again. Now it's giving me some fatal error during printing where it completely shuts off. I'm someone who doesn't want to spend time messing around with it. Some people don't mind but it's not for me.

basically https://bambulab.com/en-us/polici...acy#node-2 they collect all your data and print files, and you have to go through them to use the printer.

and the printing harder filiaments like Carbon Fiber/Glass filled which you will eventually end up doing, it will destroy the ams
Sending all of our 3D printing details to China seems like a bad idea

My CC prints daily for the past 2 month and it's been nearly flawless. It's like my 6th printer though so coming from starting with an Ender3 it's nothing I've had to fiddle with. Pre-ordered it and have been very happy with my decision. It's printing right now in my basement, as is my Ender3 S1 with SonicPad in the den. Also still have my M5 as well I use on occasion.Might l pick this up and sell/donate the other two.

Any recommendations for a website or video that explains how to use 3D printers? I work in IT, but we don't use 3D printers, so the lingo is all foreign to me. I'm not sure what to look for regarding features, etc as a basic hobbiest type of user.

Ideas for others: Buy it on DoorDash/UberEats through Best Buy using gift cards bought from Costco ($80 for $100). You'll save over $110 (excluding tax). You do have to pay a markup (maximum of $20 in my area). If you give a $20 tip, you're still getting a discount of $70 or more when including tax.

I've read people haven't had issues and I've read some people do. Unfortunately I am one. When it prints, it does a very comparable job to the p1s.

I want to see how the new multi-head printers play out. I feel it's not quite time to dive into this toy.

When are those supposed to come out?

Isn't that only if you are using the cloud? Can't you bypass by keeping it in LAN only mode?

$70 includes the connector thing that allows you to connect 1+ AMSs
But, if you plan to only have 1 AMS, it's only $50 for the upgrade.

I am looking for a relatively inexpensive printer that can do PETG prints, typically only 6-8 inches in dimensions. What would be good budget 3D printer(s) one would recommend I set deal alert on?
anything but a centauri carbon. i have a non-functional one i'll sell for cheap if you want one.

NOTE this is the original AMS not the AMS2 if that makes a difference to you.

$619.99 on Bambu site WITH the AMS2.
