The P1S Combo is a fast, enclosed Bambu printer that stands out for reliable, low fuss printing and the convenience of AMS multi color support. The combo is praised for reducing manual filament swaps, storing moisture sensitive filament, and handling abrasive materials better when paired with hardened nozzle and extruder upgrades. Pricing chatter centers on Best Buy matching Bambu and possible cashback or gift card stacking, while the AMS setup can be confusing because the original AMS, AMS 2 Pro, buffer, and hub all carry different upgrade costs. Main cautions are privacy concerns, limited support for engineering filaments, and uncertainty around newer P2S pricing and release timing.

I am looking for a relatively inexpensive printer that can do PETG prints, typically only 6-8 inches in dimensions. What would be good budget 3D printer(s) one would recommend I set deal alert on?
The A1 mini is super cheap right now on Bambus website. It's what I use but I wish I bought a bigger printer in hindsight.

Probably going to wait for the PS2, although, I am pretty tempted to buy an A1 just to hold me over for a bit.

I had an Ender 3 V3 SE which was honestly pretty good until I got a "nozzle temp to low" that I could not rectify.

I was at the stage of wanting something that could do color more easily. But had not yet messed with anything other than PLA.

If you have a Microcenter within driving distance, I would pick it up there. Sometimes their price is lower than the Bambu website. (AMS 2 is $250)

Sometimes they have refurbs.

There's a hub now available that connects an A1 or A1 mini to an AMS/AMS2/AMSHT for $20.

I have been looking at the P1S and now the deal drives me crazy. I don't really need to print anything, but I am so temped with getting P1S + ASM2. I don't think i need more than 2 ASM then should i just skip the hub and save $20? BTW I have the access to formlabs 4 resin printer.

Bambu Lab P1S with AMS combo. Available for shipping or in store pickup where available. This matches the eBay price.

ahh good catch - yeah if you don't plan on connecting more than one AMS in the future, just get buffer
From what I understand the buffer would let you hang a 5th roll of say TPU so when you need to swap that in instead of the AMS it is easier.

Ideas for others: Buy it on DoorDash/UberEats through Best Buy using gift cards bought from Costco ($80 for $100). You'll save over $110 (excluding tax). You do have to pay a markup (maximum of $20 in my area). If you give a $20 tip, you're still getting a discount of $70 or more when including tax.
Great idea- ended up getting $500 worth if gift cards through Costco, Kroger and Paypal for a total discount of $70 plus Uber One gave me $30 off for taxes/fees. All in all, paid ~$90 less than buying from Best Buy. Thanks again for the tip

On the Canada site there's no discount on it.

Just an FYI, the P2S, a refreshed version of this, is expected to come out soon and is even listed as Coming Soon on Best Buys website.
I believe it will be $750 and potentially coming in time for Christmas.
Have they given an ETA for the P2S in the States yet? It's been "coming soon" ever since they announced it.

You can add the $5 4-in-1 PTFE adapter between the buffer and the AMS units if you want to connect more AMS units down the line. You need a 3-4 inch PTFE tube running from the adapter to the buffer and it works flawlessly. I'm running that setup right now with an AMS 2 PRO and an AMS HT.

Not to my knowledge. Bambu Labs website says they have a public announcement for the H2C printer on November 18th, 2025, at 6:00 Am pst.

If you're worried about tariffs, just calm down and eat a TACO.

Buffer and hub are essentially the same. Hub just has 4 inputs to allow for 4 AMS's to be plugged into it. If you want to use the external spool with either, then you either have to disconnect them or print a "Y" that comes after the buffer to bypass it for the external spool.
