Not sapphire compared to previous Recovery for Athletes deal.
Cons:
  • Heavier by about 9g due to stainless steel on non-sapphire models vs titanium on sapphire. 51mm Garmins are very heavy watches so any weight savings is very important.
  • Mineral/Gorilla glass is less scratch resistant than sapphire.
Pros:
  • Glass is less reflective than sapphire and may look more clear and better viewing angles
  • This deal is actually available now whereas the Recovery deal has been dead and hasn't come back
