Not brushless, but still a great deal for these. The M12 stuff is more then most DIY'ers will need for around the house.

I have crap tons of m12 and m18 tools. That screwdriver is by far my most used tool.

Think that second picture is way off. Not only is the wrong driver shown, doesn't look like the kit comes with the 5.0 battery:

"Includes: (1) M12 screwdriver bare tool ( 2401-20), (1) M12 3/8 in. ratchet tool-bare (2457-20), (1) M12 charger (48-59-2401), (1) M12 CP1.5 battery (48-11-2401)"

Same here. I never knew years ago this screw driver would get so much use. I think I bought it to get into m12 stuff since I had only m18 stuff at the time.

How much better is brushless? Or is it a longevity thing?

For diy it's fine esp this kit.

I used to have an a couple 12v tools, plenty of power for around the house. No problem drilling or driving into studs.
I've since switched to 18v but miss the weight and portability of 12v even when using my subcompact 18v tools.

I got the same ratchet free w/ an M12 Fuel Impact Driver & M12 Fuel Hammer Drill back in July. I have been impressed with the impact driver and drill thus far but hadn't used the ratchet until this past weekend and was pretty disappointed at it's lack of torque for both loosening and tightening some 3/8" bolts on a lawnmower deck.

Good call out. I'm going to contact HD when my set arrives because that 5ah battery is a huge inclusion
