this is not x1200 (1200 lumens) model, rather the one that is 500 lumens

I'm not seeing anywhere on the website where Woot is claiming this is the x1200 lantern. OP where are you getting that model number?

So what model is this? Pic looks like x1200.
found it on amz. apparently "small" brother of x1200. looks like it but smaller 500 lumens.
thanks brethren for catching op mistake. luckily I could cancel my order of 3. x1200 at this price would be blockbuster.

1200 can also act like a battery bank. Still, not bad price/size for 500 lumens.

Get the Harbour Freight Luminar lamp for like $5. Much better than this.

The Harbour Freight one only has a battery life of 2hrs 20 minutes using 3 AA (Alkaline) batteries. Rechargeable might not even last that long. The Energizer can go up to 30 hours on a charge at the lowest setting, though they don't mention at the bright setting.

For home use in case of a power outage, the longer battery life wins for me.

I wish so badly the 1200 lumens model would go on sale for $13.50 again like it did last year. Anyone know any good alternatives for super bright lanterns?

Gets great reviews. $26 at Target. $32 at Ace. $8 for a 500lm rechargeable lantern, can't go wrong.
