I've been buying from goggles4u, for years. Any frame under $20 (sale price) really isn't worth it. They are cheap and break easily.

These are honestly great for sun glasses that you don't have to baby. Getting a new pair every year or when ever your prescription changes cost less then lunch in most places. so now I get these instead of name brand prescription glasses. I even tell friends who have kids with glasses. It's great for them, especially having a back up pair lying around.

I bought a progressive glasses in 2015 for around $20 or $30. The initial cost was something like in this deal. Some more dollars got added for the progressive and other stuff like anti glare - most of which I don't understand and know what it's use is. The initial order got lost. They let me pick a higher frame without any additional cost. The frame and glasses were solid. I have dropped several times. It withstood all the hits. In the meantime, I had bought quite a few after annual checkups. This is covered by insurance but invariably, they are priced somewhere in $200 - $300 range. The glasses came loose after some time. The screws got loose over time.
But in all this time, the Goggles4U survived until few days ago. I had nasty fall face down plus full body. Right corner of the frame hit the concrete and broke. You can see the lens and other arm of the glasses is still intact after 10 years.

Going on vacation, need an extra pair for the car, just abuse your glasses? Have kids that need glasses? Get some of these inexpensive glasses and/or sunglasses.

I've also been using g4u.com for years. While I haven't noticed frames that break I have had lenses that scratch easy. For less than $20 shipped they easily deliver 10x value

Anything in particular you'd recommend?

Their stock changes on a regular basis. The last pair I ordered are no longer available.

Have had several pair to break for no apparent reason except for dubious quality. They usually offer a free replacement, but the original frame may not be in stock.

Same here. I mostly wear contacts but am on my third pair/prescription and never spent more than $20. For evening and occasion day wear you can't beat them

I've bought 8 pairs at this sale price point over the years as well and none have broken yet.

You can also add a coating ( for additional money of course) that will provide scratch protection

Can't check out with just a single pair of glasses without any extras: "The minimum order value is $4.00 excluding shipping. Please add more pairs to your cart. You can also increase the quantity of the pair in your cart."
Seems like you can add the basic coating for $4 or add a second pair of glasses. I added a second pair, at which point the shipping increased for me to $6.95 total (as opposed to $5.95 per glasses as stated in the OP), so total $17.29 with two pairs of glasses including shipping and tax.
