Multi quote? Never seen that before. Is that on the app? FWIW, I'm using the main site via Chrome.

BTW, thanks for the reply!

app doesn't have it, on the lower right hand side of every comment there are links labelled "save", "mod alert", "edit", "reply", "multi-quote" and "quick reply"
I use either chrome, ff or brave. Not sure if it is still same the same setup for the new format of SD site, I am using old format of SD, I do not care for new format layout

This is a volume license key that requires telephone activation. Do not expect a digital license that you can tie to your Microsoft Account.

I don't have any of those options but I am using the new layout....which I do not like either. They rolled me out to this last year, I even PM'd a couple of mods who said (at the time) there was no toggle to bring the OG site back. Perhaps now they've added the option. I'll have to figure out how to change back to the older format, at first glace I do not see a way but I'm probably just missing it.

Thanks for all your time and sorry to bug you over such a petty question.

Edit: Never mind, I figured out how to change it (bottom of page, not in account settings). Thanks for the info!

I just went down a rabbit hole with a LTSC key. Long story short, be careful with Office keys.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank PhineasFlynn

I just bought this and am unable to authenticate it. I used the telephonic authentication as directed in their instructions (2x). The problem could be me or Microsoft's authentication system (one call said the system was down), but buyer beware. Trying to get refund.

Edit: I just read that MS currently has an Azure/365 outage. So perhaps it is a MS problem.

I was able to activate the product as of 5:30pm EST. So I assume the issue was due to the Microsoft 365 outage.

I ordered one of these from DigitalKeysBox and it was LTCS license. Wouldn't work with Microsoft installer, only the one provided by the seller. Pushed the executable up to Virustotal and a few other sandbox sites only to find that it had a signature for a rat. Deleted the file and got a refund.

telephone activation? scam
The "telephone activation" is a Microsoft thing. It gives you the choice of online (which doesn't work) or the toll free Microsoft number. The only thing you provide is the installation code and you get the authentication code from MS and it activates the product. No e-mail, no name, no credit card, no SSN, no mother's maiden name - just the install code.

There may be some scamminess to the license, I'm not sure how that works. But the authentication was done through MS Office. If this is an elaborate scam, I'd love to know how it works.

I say the same thing everytime these deals come up, you're best off looking at them as a 1-time install key.

Over many years of using them I've never had one "go bad", deactivating after being installed. But they very, very rarely work for a 2nd activation at a later date. Some just happen to work as legit keys and show in my MS account just fine for reinstallation later, but that is definitely not the norm.

Do you know if someone can buy 'spares', to have on hand in case initial one gets burned? Be gentle please, I'm new to this. 😁

Don't these make you download an ISO or a modified install package?

Dude, who cares? This is f*king Microsoft, they just raised their Office 365 subscription from $69.99 to $99.99. This is evil sh1t mega corporation that's shoving OneDrive and Copilot into our throats, whether we want it or not, who require to have MS account to log in to the computer I f*ing own. And I can't switch to Linux or Mac because of the software I'm using, so yeah I'm mega pissed at them, and if using Pirate keys is one way to protest this crap so be it. These keys work, and even if they stop working a year from now I still saved a ton of money and showed MS my middle finger.
Not to Mention that this is LTSC license, no copilot, no stupid updates (other than security). You can't even buy this if you wanted...
Dude, you are stealing the software from Microsoft. Doesn't matter how you justify it in your head, it is theft, plain and simple.

It is a pirated code that is being sold without authorization.

It is a scam because the code you are getting is for LTSC version of the software:
This software code was sold to a commercial or educational environment and is being pirated and you are participating in it.

Dance at your own risk.

LTSC stands for Long-Term Servicing Channel, which refers to a version of Microsoft Office that is licensed perpetually (one-time purchase) rather than through a subscription. This version is designed for organizations that cannot have frequent updates and only receive security updates, making it suitable for disconnected or restricted environments.

LTSC is targeted at commercial, government, and educational institutions that have specific compliance or operational needs that prevent them from using cloud-based services like Microsoft 365.

Note this is for the LTSC version of Office, which will not have feature updates...merely security updates....
