I actually bought both and ended up keeping the Sony. Sound and ANC felt much better to me, but the Bose are definitely more comfortable and don't get sweaty during long use.

Was $150 at costco for new ones over the summer. $250 for the xm5s. Refurb at this price is a lukewarm deal imo.
