Thought this was new for $1029, would have been amazing. Put used, demo, reconditioned, display, etc in your title.

I think "open box" in the title pretty much described everything you just said.

Ram is not expandal
expandable and is soldered I think? I think someone confirmed that last time.... and 16gb is a travesty in 2025.

Was gaming last night on my pc playing battlefield6 watching my ram usage and it frequently went past 16gb . Nothing running in the background. I'd be cautious with this if planning to play atleast that game .

Absolutely awesome laptop and iGPU. But, making it worse, the 16GB of RAM is shared between the system and iGPU.

24gb should really have been the minimum on these so you could give the iGPU 8GB and the system would still have 16GB. The 890m iGPU on this is very impressive and the whole system gets killed with such limited RAM.

Totally missed that, then 16gb should be okay for the system.

They have one of these left at my local store. I've never bought an open box product before, but this one looks really good to me. What should I look out for if I get this?

What is the definition of open box at best buy? Someone bought it and opened it and they could have barely used it or used it a lot but then returned it? So anytime someone returns a laptop at best buy, they lose money on it since they going to have to sell it as an open box right? But the condition can't be that bad since there is a 30 day return and exchange policy?

Isn't it true any laptop with an rtx 5060 or greater isn't good for laptops that are 14' or less? LIke it increases the chance of it going bad or something?
