Bought this a while back for 200 and received 40 back on my chase card. Normal NVME prices seem really high. Someone here recently posted a Microcenter deal for a 4tb 990 Evo at 57.99. That was a fantastic deal!

Yes, due to the AI and cloud datacenter super cycle. RAM and large storage SSDs(especially 8+GB)will be in short supply for at least the next 18-24 months. Average prices will probably continue to creep higher as all of the major memory companies rush to fulfill a huge backlog of orders

The standard rate is $50/tb, then adding a little to account for dram and consistent componentry- say 10-15%. This thing should be $220-230 max, especially since it's an older model at this point.

^ That right there is spot on. And if reports regarding the situation with NAND flash are accurate, significant price hikes and shortages on a long term basis are likely. Though this deal is currently being down voted, we may look back over the coming weeks and months as the best we were able to get for quite some time. Will Black Friday give us any real deals for SSDs ? Dunno. Everything is upside down and inside out these days. At the moment I'm planning to buy what I need and hopefully it lasts me until we're on the other side of all this.
