This is not for the house but for small sealed containers.

The orange silica gel is slightly toxic, so be informed in case you have small children or pets who like to eat whatever https://www.poison.org/articles/silica-gel.
Orange/yellow silica gel desiccants usually contain methyl violet and turn green when moist. Their toxicity is low.

Do not understand.
If you are trying to remove humidity from your house, when you dry the gel in your microwave you will be adding the humidity back to your house. The microware would have to be placed outside to work.
This is not for the house but for small sealed containers.

Seems like orange/yellow are only very slightly toxic, whereas the blue ones are a little more.

I use this one:
https://makerworld.com/en/models/...Id-1488010
It fits in my AMS, it holds 2lbs of beads perfectly, and I can leave it in my AMS while drying other filaments.
I tried the type that you put into the center of the spools and I realized that I'd need a bunch of different sizes because spools have very varied diameters

I use it for both. There are tons of options for either in their respective sizes on Makerworld.

One tip for those printing cases... if you have transparent filament, print the cases with it. It's easier to see once the beads absorb moisture. If you don't have transparent, use a color that contrasts the Orange and green color of these beads.

You can throw them in a microwave, oven or dehydrator to dry them out and use them again.
I would just not do that if you're planning on using those for your normal food. If you have a dedicated microwave and maybe do it outside, sure. These orange beads are slightly toxic, especially when heated.
There are clear ones which are totally safe. Rather buy those. Also rechargeable. You just don't know when you need to do it 😄
A hygrometer can help with that though.

Almost all of the reviews are "vine voice" (ie: free product) reviews. Anyone have 1st hand experience with the brand/product?
