This is a great price for these.

I like the stainless steel straw to avoid leeching microplastics.

The top is lockable to prevent spills.

What I really want to know is if there is lead in the solder that seals the vacuum insulation layer between the inner and outer stainless‑steel walls?

The exposed straw seems a bit unhygienic, especially if handled by kids who are almost guaranteed to drop this while at school or at the playground.

My first thought too. Leaking wouldn't be my top concern if this falls headfirst at like the beach or parking lot

My kid is not hygienic in general, so this is a non-issue for me.

I plan to teach my kid to lock the lid.

Poor reviews from amazon show the flaw design which is prone to break.

I second that these are far from leakproof. "Teach your kid to lock it" is a lazy dismissal as even slightly out of alignment it will leak.

Teaching is -not- being lazy.
