6 pack is a screaming deal if you need contact sensors. I'm over here trying to think of a use for that many of them. These days the smart locks on my doors provide open/close, so it's really just the windows.

Looks like the 2.0 contact sensors support LR.
Do they expose battery life via zwave?

We have a keypad and door sensor/base unit but only pay for the basic plan, yet we get alerts when the door is opened. So would we get alerts for opened windows still also or have to sign up for the standard $99/year plan? Or is there an easier way to link them to something else like smartthings? Bc I have that too. Thanks for the help

I use these with Home Assistant but only use them for automations and not for security. So far abode is my security hub that's is fully local.

You are awesome!

I closed the amazon listing after I wasn't sure of this EXACT concern.

Thank you!

Can you please explain what's LR or "HA to connect them"? I'm just trying what are the use cases for these sensors. Thank you

6 Pack seems to be gone from Amazon, but they're still selling it in the Ring Store for 30.99 with a 10% subscriber discount. Really solid price, honestly almost cheaper than replacing the batteries in my first gen versions lol.
The single pack outdoor ones are on sale too, unfortunately the 2 pack of those is OOS.

HA: home assistant. it is the system i use. you need a z-wave usb dongle to be able to intercept z-wave signals
LR: is long range from z-wave also known as 800 series. the older 700 z-wave plus system is a mesh system which is not bad but LR is a lot better imo.

Looks like back in stock, is it not better to order via ring as it gives 10% more?
