This thing is huge.

Unfortunately there haven't been any deals on shredders in a while (at least based off my deal alerts on here).

If you want something compact for home use, this one has great reviews and is $20. But be advised, it is very small and only has a 4.5" wide feed slot.

These higher capacity units do that without issue. Although I would limit that to regular 20 lb. paper. For the price this is quite a beast of a shredder, intended for office environments. For reference, dimensions are 18.35 x 14.02 x 22.83 inches (LxWxH) and weight is 35.5 pounds

Pros: micro shreds your documents, can easily handle 10 sheets at a time although I usually do fewer just to keep it from working that hard. The automatic feeder works really well if you are using standard sized sheets of paper, even with stapled packets of 10-20 sheets. Just follow the loading instructions. Can shred for 20+ minutes without overheating. My previous heavy duty commercial Staples branded shredder overheated at 10 minutes & would shut down. Multiple reviews stating a plastic piece breaks off and causes issues, even with their replacements having the same issue. Have you encountered any cracking in the same area?

Thanks for sharing. I bought my first micro-cut shredder 6 months ago and I'm tickled with it. It fills up much slower than my old cross-cut shredder because the tiny paper particles pack more densely in the bin. It was on a Woot deal and has proven to be an excellent shredder and just what I needed for $27.99. Of course it's much smaller than this one with a 4 gallon bin.
