This Costco Legion is a strong CPU first gaming laptop with an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX, 32GB of RAM, and an IPS 16 inch 240Hz display that avoids OLED burn in concerns. The RTX 5060 is enough for most games and light gaming at native resolution, while the 1TB SSD has a second NVMe slot for expansion. The tradeoff is that the GPU is capped lower than stock Lenovo versions, and the 8GB card can struggle at 1440p or 1600p in newer games. Battery life, speakers, and Wi Fi reliability have also drawn complaints, making it a better fit for performance and productivity than portability.
Common Questions (6)
No, it uses a 16-inch IPS display instead of OLED. That avoids OLED burn-in concerns and is preferred by some for productivity, while others would rather have OLED's deeper blacks despite more reflections.
The RTX 5060 8GB is enough for most games at native resolution and is fine for lighter gaming, but it can run into limits in newer titles at 1440p/1600p because of the 8GB VRAM. The GPU is also throttled to 105W here, so it is a bit below stock 115W Legion 5i/Pro 5i configurations.
Yes. The 275HX is described as a top-tier laptop CPU and a strong choice for coding, research, and other CPU-heavy work, with noticeably more multi-threaded performance than thinner Core Ultra alternatives. It is paired with 32GB RAM, so you avoid an immediate memory upgrade.
Yes. The box is labeled Legion Pro 5i, and the chassis dimensions, weight, cooling layout, and rear-port placement match the Pro 5i more closely than the standard Legion 5i. The Costco configuration also appears to be a custom Lenovo/Costco blend with a lower 105W RTX 5060.
Yes, it has a second NVMe slot for storage expansion, with one slot already occupied by the included 1TB SSD. DDR5 upgrade questions came up too, but no confirmed max RAM capacity was established in the thread.
No, battery life is reported at roughly 2 to 3 hours in real use, which is much shorter than thin-and-light alternatives. It is better suited to plugged-in use than all-day portable work.

Differences obv for me are the screen (non-OLED & size), RAM, CPU, weight

The CPU is far more powerful. It's basically the second most powerful Intel laptop CPU (aside from the 285HX) and there is more RAM. The AMD Ryzen 260 is a pretty weak CPU even compared to something like the Ryzen HX 370. The Intel 275 HX blows it out of the water. But for purely budget gaming, the Ryzen 260 might be usable.
32GB is a much better amount of RAM too.
Also in before 8gb vram, someone's bound to say it within the first page. The next best up is the 5070ti with 12gb vram, and laptops with those cards usually range between 1700-2200. It stops becoming slick at that point.
