This Costco Legion is a strong CPU first gaming laptop with an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX, 32GB of RAM, and an IPS 16 inch 240Hz display that avoids OLED burn in concerns. The RTX 5060 is enough for most games and light gaming at native resolution, while the 1TB SSD has a second NVMe slot for expansion. The tradeoff is that the GPU is capped lower than stock Lenovo versions, and the 8GB card can struggle at 1440p or 1600p in newer games. Battery life, speakers, and Wi Fi reliability have also drawn complaints, making it a better fit for performance and productivity than portability.
The laptop can handle coding and research workloads smoothly with no hiccups reported.
The 32GB RAM configuration can avoid an extra memory purchase for upgrades.
The IPS display choice can reduce OLED glare and burn-in concerns for productivity use.
The second NVMe slot can support additional storage expansion beyond the included 1TB SSD.
Battery life can be around two to three hours under heavier usage.
Wi-Fi performance can be inconsistent, including large latency spikes or slower speeds after testing.
The RTX 5060 8GB can hit limitations when moving from 1080p to 1440p.
Some software features can fail to work properly, including Windows Phone Link and Outlook despite updates.

I'm probably going to pick one up the next time I'm in store since it's $15 shipping otherwise. Curious to see what the internals look like.

Can you comment on how loud/quiet it is during light use?

-prefer the IPS screen over OLED since they will use the machine for productivity work and don't want the glare or burn-in concerns. It's almost impossible to get IPS instead of OLED with Legion 5 now.
-prioritize CPU & RAM value over the GPU. Other deals I see in this price range are generally Ryzen 7 AI 350 (but those have up to RTX 5070), which has different pros/cons.
-are ok with the extra weight in exchange for a more robust cooling situation +/- maybe slightly better durability than normal Legion 5
-value buying something at Costco for ease of return within 90 days, extended warranty, +/- extra % back with purchase
