Samsung's QN90D 85 inch is drawing attention as a bright, colorful mini LED TV that shines in living rooms, sports, and gaming. The picture quality gets strong praise for deep blacks, fast response, and solid standard high definition performance, and the 85 inch size feels like a major upgrade. The standout deal is the pickup price around $999 to $1200, often with a free five year Allstate warranty, though pricing varies a lot by store and delivery jumps sharply. The main drawback is the size and weight, since the box is huge and awkward to move. A strong value if local pickup is available.

Common Questions (5)

  • Yes. Some stores show about $999-$1200 for pickup, while other locations show $1299-$1399 or only a much higher shipped/delivered price around $1800-$1900. Checking the specific store, zip code, and choosing pickup instead of delivery can change the price a lot.

  • It can appear as free for members at checkout or in-store, even though the cart may show a $99-$139.99 add-on. Deselecting the warranty at checkout or confirming with the store can reveal the included 5-year coverage.

  • It is very large and heavy, with the box reported at 84" x 9" x 48 7/8" and the TV estimated at over 100 lb, possibly around 150 lb. Pickup can be awkward enough that many people need a truck, van, or delivery help.

  • No, it supports HDR10+ instead of Dolby Vision. That matters most if you specifically want Dolby Vision streaming or discs, but the TV is still described as strong for bright-room viewing and sports.

  • Yes. It is repeatedly described as extremely bright with strong color and blacks, making it a strong living-room and bright-room TV. Sports and fast motion are also called out as a strength, especially for 4K broadcasts and gaming.

I checked 1 of my local 3 SC. There were 4 pallets of them in the building that I saw up on the racks. The sales tag indicated C stock, so its going away permanently. Wonder what is coming in before BF to replace it?

Wound up buying one and returning it with the receipt from my previous purchase to get the price refund (store wouldn't adjust price on the purchase from last week).

Called Sam's support and got the warranty refunded without any hassle.

Still one left at the Houston Willowbrook Sam's for anyone local.

Such an insane deal. I have the 85" QN90A. Bought it through EPP when they had the free tablet, 10% extra discounted when you asked to cancel, and additional warranty. I think it was $1600 way back when. The set still continues to impress. It's so bright, colorful, amazing blacks, and super fast response time for gaming. Watching the World Series in 4K right now. Sports are about as it gets on these Samsungs. Never once missed Dolby Vision.

$1900 if shipped, and $1200 for pickup. Not bad at all for pickup but we'd have to rent a truck.
Got mine last week here in Central Florida and ended up using this new app called Drive & Tow, it's on both Apple and Android. Basically, it connects you with local pickup truck drivers, everything's handled through the app.
I found a nearby driver with GMC Sierra, and the TV fit perfectly flat in the bed. Not sure how active it is in other areas since it's still a pretty new service, but it worked great for me. Cost me around $52 total, and I didn't have to deal with the hassle of renting a truck.

HDR10+ only? I would be all over this if it had Dolby vision. Still a great TV
Trust me you can't tell a difference no matter what your brain tells you. I would never let that be a deciding factor on a TV decesion

Wondering if the adaptive tone mapping on the newer TVs is good enough to make the lack of Dolby vision not so important. More and more of the streaming services are supporting HDR 10 plus now also
I have a LG C4 and this TV. You will not be able to tell a difference between HDR10 + or DV.

I have a 75" QN90A I bought a few years ago. I am thinking of buying this to jump up to the 85". Nothing wrong with the QN90A I have, but I already have a 75" in my bedroom and may just move it to the larger guest bedroom and remove the 55" in there. My area is not worth trying to resell for anything near a decent price. Hmmm decisions....
$1000 or even $1200 is a steal and a no brainer

I've been considering this TV since it was !$1499. Concerned from reading avsforum and reddit that the set is abandoned from Samsung for firmware support after reading a lot of the reviews about random picture quality issues. Can anyone comment on their satisfaction with the PQ on standard high def TV like Fox Sports, ESPN, OTA?
PQ is better then my C4 if that helps. Not 1 issue ever

Put zip 27804 for Rocky Mount and you will see $1200. Change stores and you might find it at 999.
