Title is incorrect. These are not 2400mah. They are 2400mWh so ~1600mah @ 1.5v assuming they aren't embellishing the numbers.

Some of the reviews said they started melting down/starting on fire. These are lithium batteries, so that's not so great......

I'm fixing that. Thanks for pointing it out and you've got a keen eye!

1600. Not enough to power my vape.. 34,000 mah min for optimal performance. YMMV.

Who has actually used these? How do they perform compared to good alkaline, Eneloop, and other lithium AA rechargeables?

My own personal experience says it depends on what you need to power. This is a very low power battery set.

By that do you mean low capacity overall, like they need to be recharged more often?

Are there similar ones (and similar price) that don't have the charging ability built in? I prefer the charger to be external because that's where things go wrong the most. It also gives me the ability to monitor the current and check for capacity (a charger in the middle makes things too fuzzy).

Wrong application. This is to replace one time use alkalines, not high draw items like vapes.

Too bad. The USB-C cable looks interesting.

One review said it comes with micro USB, but picture clearly shows USB-C. I assume it is USB-C now. I heard that these Li-Ion batteries has higher voltage and will maintain closer to 1.3-1.4V, unlike NiMH batteries at 1.2V.

They, and all lithium AAs, step down the lithium battery (nominal 3.7V) to 1.5V. if you have something that needs the higher voltage (like blink cameras) you can't use nimh (1.2V).
For things like remotes or fairy lights I would stick with nimh because it is less complex. For blink cameras you need them or something like a milk frother you might benefit from the extra voltage.
