Good deal however the aliexpress seller seems a bit sus. A lot of 1 star reviews talking about fake tracking numbers. Personally I'd not risk it

Fake. Aliexpress ship from US always gave these too good to be true prices and only very little of them will ship. They automatically cancel order. The seller do this for sells count (which count canceled orders)

We run a business that buy Aliexpress in six figures

Hard to return. If it doesn't work, they may ask you to return to China address with your cost, and it may takes half year to get refund if the package is not lost. The seller may disappears after a month.

These CPUs both use less power and are more power efficient than similar desktop CPUs.

If you are building a system that will sit idle most of the time, and will be powered on a lot, then using less power is helpful. This is common when people build home servers. It's also helpful if you put your computer on a battery backup. Using less power means you need a less expensive UPS. Using less power also means less heat being generated.

If your system runs a heavy workload a lot, then being power efficient is important. Making up numbers, if you can cut your power by 30% and only lose 10% of the performance, then this can save you money in the long run. You'd have to look up testing results and benchmarks to see how much more or less efficient different options actually are.

You typically get less overall performance and fewer expansion options with laptops CPUs. So there isn't a straightforward answer as to which one is better.

Unique use case for SFF (small form factor) enthusiasts. This is like 1/4th the size of your typical ATX motherboard. As far this particular package (although this listing is very scammy), it is well known among enthusiasts as it provides performance very close to the deskop SKU at half the power draw AND with X3D cache.

It also includes a large and decently performant heatsink that can be paired with a 120mm fan (consider that for most ITX motherboards, you would use a 92mm heatsink). Even at regular price, if you aren't planning to upgrade every like 2 generations this is a pretty decent pick since it includes motherboard, cooler, and CPU. The I/O is a little lackluster in my opinion compared to a typical ITX motherboard, but overall pretty decent all things considered. This also has 2 x M.2 for storage so in that department it definitely rivals higher end motherboards.

They sell these in barebones on their US website. Given the price of quality Flex ATX PSUs they can be worth waiting around for a good sale there.

I had a Minisforum for a little while. It was great... until it suddenly wasn't. It was only a little over a year old, and suddenly shut off without warning. It never came back on. Spontaneously bricked. The power supply, SSD, and RAM are all good, but zero signs of life from the motherboard.
