You should download the fresh Windows installation from Microsoft website and install it.
Don't worry about Windows key, because it is already in the hardware (mainboard)

I'm still waiting on one to ship from an Oct 3rd purchase. Originally on the product page the estimate was three weeks. Once ordered it bumped it out to Nov 4th for a ship, not delivery date.

This one also says "US Shipped". My wager is these are being shipped via freight from China to the US, and then a new shipping label will be put on it and shipped to your local address. This is likely to have a US based company be the seller to avoid any tariff charges going to you.

I'll see if it ends up getting automatically cancelled or not. But so far no tracking number or anything.

I bought other mini PCs in the past that shipped right away. But I'm seeing more an more of these "US Shipped" in the listing. If you need it right away, buy from Amazon, or somewhere else where it says you'll get it in 2-3 days. But you can save a lot of money by waiting.

I'm waiting on a 8745H barebones I paid $206 after coupon. I already have 32GB from a different system I needed up needing 64GB in. Thankfully I bet the current RAM pricing situation there. But this is a great price, and I'm surprised at what the 780M iGPU can do. If don't need to play recent AAA games, this is more than enough, and it sips power.

Thanks for pointing it out. The manufacturer's website says "The HA-4 comes pre-installed with Windows 11 out of the box, ready to use upon receipt."

I've ordered two of these super cheap AliEx mini PCs over the last couple months. I waited two weeks for the first one to ship before cancelling. I waiting three weeks for the second one. Neither showed any sign of movement. Thankfully the sellers didn't hesitate to cancel either.

This may be different and actually ship, but I'm done trying.

This may be sketchy - does anyone have experience with the actual seller?
  • The seller is "FixAll Furnishings Store",
  • Who has an impressive span of unrelated items for sale.
  • In the store reviews, there are reports of the very common aliexpress scam of sending a tracking number for a similar address.
  • This is not an "Aliexpress Storefront" because if you go to "Contact" it goes to the standard messaging interface
  • The store only has 255 reviews ... but claims "3000+ sold"
However, to be fair to the poster..
  • The store has been around since Apr 20 of this year - usually scam stores are shorter-lived
  • The price is good, but not impossibly good.
My 'conservative' Aliexpress approach is to buy either from brands themselves (eg, 'Firebat') or from traders that are in a specific niche and have longer history..

From this same 3rd party seller? That was a great price!

I believe the tariffs exclude Computers - making the lower end ones even cheaper than single-board computers
They can't escape tariffs that easily, but they can avoid the servicing costs.

That's a relatively benign "scam" you find on ali - you eventually get the product, but it's not as fast shipping as you might have suspected.
It varies widely - in one case the local shipping was using their Amazon stock. In another case, the shipping didn't update until the product was actually delivered.

No, a different seller but same history of a bunch of random things being sold. The sellers name has grocery store in it. While others I see mention furniture.

If you search for the UM870 Slim you can find barebones for $250-260. But there is one that an upcoming price of $221, and normally Aliexpress has coupons during their sales which will knock more off of it. Be aware of the of the cost of RAM. 32GB of DDR5 SODIMM RAM is $140-150. That makes the posted deal a much better deal as it includes both 32GB of RAM and a 1TB NVME drive.

folks with mini PC experience - is it ok to buy no name brands such as this one over beelink, minisforum etc., ? or are they all the same?

from my limited research it seems like the name brands have better cooling tech, metal body etc.., which surprisingly this one does as well and hence so appealing
