Why? The RAID portion is handled on the array side, USB is only for file access.

This seems too good to be true. How reliable is this thing? Does it support all OS? Or its HW configured and over USB just looks like several or single logical disk? So many questions...

As long as you don't use it for ssds, this should be more than enough to fully utilize all 4 7200 rpm drives to their max
