For many people, it doesn't matter. As long as your phone remains powered on, I don't believe anyone has any problems with this device being stuck in the back of the phone, considering its slim design. People carry around MagSafe wallets that are thicker than this.
Baseus_global_store on eBay is selling this model for $12.15 as a certified refurbished item. I purchased one; it arrived open-box and in good condition. There is one visible scratch on the bottom-left corner and a faint scratch on the back alloy surface.
