I just picked up a non ams model (thanks to another SD post) from best buy for $189 as I had a $10 credit and honestly this thing is amazing. I've been printing non stop for the past 48 hours. I've made a light switch stopper, a vinyl record rack, a phone stand, a tablet charging station, bunch of fidgets for my kids, a haunted graveyard for the kids to paint, ikea skadis board and now I'm making an Aztec death whistle to scare the crap outta my kids for Halloween. The possibilities are endless. Also it's as easy as opening the Bambu app on my phone. Finding a 3d model and clicking print. If you can spare the extra cash. Go for the full size A1. There's a lot models i can't print due to their size (though most can be scaled down manually)

As someone who just sold their 7 month old A1 Mini and bought an A1. Buy the A1. You might think "well maybe I only want to try out 3D printing". It's like magic. You're gonna love it. And you're gonna immediately run into the size limitations of the A1 Mini and regret it.

As someone who has owned a lot of printers as more of a hobbyist. Two points I'll add - 1) Having a small printer isn't a bad thing. You are restricted GREATLY on what you can print but the small footprint of the A1 Mini (and the Prusa Mini I have) is nice as they always just work and if you have a small item or multiple small items to print it's not like a big printer helps in that regard, so having a nice small printer is useful. On the other hand, 2) If a "mini" printer is your first printer and you use it, prepare to very soon look at upgrading to a bigger printer because you'll find yourself wanting to do bigger prints and cannot.

Honestly $199 for a small footprint printer like the A1 Mini is a steal. I'd personally have an A1 mini and skip even the A1. You can get a P1S right now for $399 versus the $279 for the A1. P1S is going to be a pretty big upgrade for $120.

I've never used a 3D printer before, but I'm tempted to buy one after seeing all these deals on SD. Do these need to be used in a well-ventilated space, or would it be safe to use them in a bedroom with no windows?

They can go almost anyplace. It doesn't create any toxic gas.

It doesn't need to have any specific ventilation. That's only for different types of filaments. You'll be using PLA or PETG filament.I would highly suggest that if you want a printer then you should get the A1 instead of A1 mini. The build plate is bigger so you can print more things and it's only $80more.I regretted buying the Mini instead of the A1.You can get the A1 from BEST BUY or the Bambu lab website.I hope it helps.

you can find deals on filament on Slickdeals. just search

Is the P1S actually an upgrade from the A1? After reading the differences I found that the A1 is actually superior. The A1 just doesn't have an enclosure but everything else about it is better.

Pretty sure $250 is the actual retail price for this one. It usually goes below $200 for Bambu sales.

$200 is a good price but don't think you're getting it for 50% off.

Yeoh it's misleading as heck. This is not 50% off. It's 33%off its most recent regular price and it's also been this price a few times before.
