I originally got the Acer and felt that it was a good value for $630, especially with the new 5050 graphics card. There were a few things I didn't like. The screen, which is 16", has I think a non-standard aspect ratio which just made the screen awkwardly-sized and awkward looking to me. Just didn't like the aesthetics. The keyboard felt a little cheap to me, and it is offset to the left, in a non-standard format compared to any laptop I've used recently. This made me frustrated trying to type and made the keyboard feel cramped. The material was a matte black which soaked up incidental fingerprint grease. The Acer gaming software used a ton of resources.
When I saw this available new for only $20 more, I bit the bullet. The graphics card is specced to use 100W vs 95W of the Acer - which probably won't mean much. The ram on the Lenovo is 4800mhz vs the 5600mhz RAM on the Acer. The Acer should be a bit better on the RAM front but in real-world use it wouldn't make a ton of difference - I read somewhere it would be like a 2% difference.
As far as build quality, the Lenovo feels MUCH better. It just feels better and more solid. The keyboard is amazing for a gaming laptop. It's probably my favorite keyboard on a non-ultrabook style laptop (previous had a Dell XPS and also currently have a Macbook Air). I like the silverish color which doesn't attract fingerprints. The Lenovo has the higher wattage charger so that it will be sure to charge regardless of the level of use while gaming and plugged in. Additionally, my understanding is that the Lenovo's USB-C port can be used to charge it at up to 100 watts, which will be nice for mild use or charging it overnight without needing bulky charger out. I briefly tested a 65W USB-C laptop charger and the charger did work to charge via USB-C. The Lenovo gaming software doesn't seem to be using anywhere as much resources as the Acer gaming software. Both devices are made of plastic, but the Lenovo just feels better, feels more solid and feels nicer to touch in general.
Overall, Lenovo over Acer all day at these prices and specs. I'm returning the Acer. I'm going to cross-post this in the Acer thread.

I have a giant 12th gen Omen with a 3070TI that I'm definitely considering swapping out for something like this.

I haven't known Acer to have a good build quality but I'm not sure about Lenovo.
There also seems to be a GPU performance/power issue with that particular Acer. While gaming, it would lose battery percentage while plugged in. It was about 1% a minute.
