Wonder if this actually works with cycling considering there is usually "wind" when riding over 10 mph

Nice. My old Ankers in a similar style are on their last leg, battery wise. These will work nice.

You really should go with over the ear with noise cancellation. That way you can keep the volume down and still hear the music properly.

I can't do that as a mailman. In the mail truck you got to be able to hear vehicles and stuff going around around you. So in ear headphones without noise cancellation still allowed me to hear what was happening around me. But I'm thinking that the audio being fed directly into my ear might be assisting in years of damage.

Not familiar with this type Open "Air Conduction" earbud/headset.

Since it's Air Conduction and not Bone Conduction (like Shokz), does this mean that people nearby can hear what you are listening to?

I.e. particularly compared to a more traditional earbud like the JLab Go Air Pop?

Thanks!

It's a new technology that we like to call sound waves from a speaker. It's very rare that you hear about air conducting sound waves, but every time that you do hear about it it's because it happened.

Yeah, I was going to say: "Air Conduction" is how all speakers normally work (i.e. why speakers won't work in space). Marketing Speak strikes again.

So I guess this is more of a "gapped" earbud, with the speaker sitting outside your ear (and not in your ear). And this gap lets outside sound/noise through.

Hence my original thought: Given this configuration, people who are nearby may be able to hear your audio. So my guess is that these are not suited for an office or public transit.

I use open air that are very similar for cycling and I think the sound is great.

This is pretty much like Shokz minus the annoying vibration. I don't have this unit but I own the Baseus version it does leak but not loud enough for others to hear.
