"My spoiler-free experience on "The Walking Dead" TV series:
Seasons 1 and 2 are the best in the series. Great pacing + excellent script. The acting was top-notch!!!
Season 3 is very good, not great.
Season 4 is when things start to fade, and you start hating some of the characters and where they're going.
Season 5-6 are when you start questioning yourself, if you should continue watching.
Season 7, episode 1 - most violent and brutal episode. Brace yourself! The season is a love/hate.
Season 8-10 "Why am I still watching this horrible series?"
Season 11 - "I might as well finish this awful series, because I'm a glutton for punishment."

For someone who never watched it at all during its original run I have to fully agree with this review after the third season it really starts to fall off the rails and definitely not a show I would ever go back and revisit and for God's sake don't ever waste your time with fear The walking Dead it's so bad on so many levels

FWIW, Mercer alone made season 11 tolerable...mostly.
