Not true at all, I live in the USA and had zero issues getting my amazon purchased earbuds exchanged. The process wasn't as straight forward as I would have wanted though. They went through a few back and forth emails of"did you try to do this? Did you try to do that?" then finally gave me an RMA number which I then had to go put into their own website, wait for an approval on the RMA, and then receive a label, ship the defective earbuds back, wait for them to receive, and then wait for the new pair to ship out to me.
So yes it was a pain, but they did come through and service me.
I also own the Headphone Pro in this deal, and will say it sounds good, not great with the default settings. But once you do the personalized audio hearing test, it adjusts the EQ based on what frequencies you can/cannot hear well, and then they shine. I am an audiophile, and am blown away by the clarity and soundstage these put out at their $100 normal MSRP. These are my daily drivers for office use.
Bought these for 84 when they launched, and I'm sending them back. They are pretty good if its your first headphone, I like them more than anker q45, but I also have the sony ults I got on slickdeals refurbed for around 85, and the ults are just so much better as far as noise cancelling and sound quality and bass. The CMF has really good comfort, great connection, great battery. The mediocre is the sound quality, the anc is mid tier, and it looks weird, and no hard case. And the bad is the eq options suck, and the spacial audio sucks even more.
