Anker's C300X DC looks like a compact USB power station best suited for camping, car trips, and backup charging for phones, laptops, cameras, CPAPs, and small fridges. The 288Wh battery, 140W USB C output, lantern light, and pass through charging get strong real world praise, and the included 100W charger adds value at this price. The main limitation is that this DC version has no AC outlets, and the size is closer to a lantern than ultra portable. It is also too large for TSA flight limits, making it a practical off grid helper rather than a travel battery.

Common Questions (5)

  • Yes, for some setups. It has been used to run a BougeRV fridge for more than 24 hours, a Starlink Mini with solar support, and a 12V fridge/freezer in a work truck; thermoelectric coolers are much less efficient and may only last about 5 to 6 hours. A compressor fridge is the better match for longer runtime.

  • At $110, it is widely viewed as strong value for a 288Wh unit bundled with a 100W charger. The price works out to about $0.38 per Wh, and the charger alone is estimated to cost around $30 or more from reputable retailers.

  • It can handle several real-world loads for a weekend or longer: one user got 2 days and 2 nights of camping use, another ran a DreamStation CPAP for 4 nights without a humidifier or heated tube, and a 50W cooler is estimated at over 6 hours. Runtime depends heavily on the device and whether you use DC output instead of AC conversion.

  • No. This C300X is the DC version, so it has USB and 12V-style output but no AC plugs. If you need wall-outlet power or UPS-style AC backup, this model is too limited for that use case.

  • Yes. It has been used as a desktop USB power hub and for charging phones, tablets, MacBooks, headphones, hand warmers, fans, and toothbrushes, with pass-through charging supported. The USB-C ports can output up to 140W, which makes it practical for laptop charging and topping off multiple devices.

I'd definitely get this if it was TSA approved for flight travel. However, it's almost 3x over TSA's limit of 100 Wh per battery.

I bought another one. It looks like a good deal with the 100W power adapter.

I have had this for less than a year. I don't use it often but have taken it car camping a few times and it's nice having a battery big enough that I don't have to worry about running out of charge for my cameras/phone/tablet. I don't use the app functions.

Powering a CPAP either during a power outage or while car camping. Running direct from DC uses about half the power as double-converting through AC, so will give about twice the run time. I imagine I'll also use it to charge devices and maybe also for the lantern.

If the cooler consumes 50W, it will run for over 6 hours. The refrigerator probably won't run continuously, so this power bank could last for half a day or even a full day, depending on the weather.

On a day to day basis, I use mine as a desktop USB power distribution hub:
- sort of a UPS for laptop setup
- emergency lighting during power outage
- still portable for camping/outdoor/mobile use

To free up all the USB ports, I charge it using the XT60 port; using a 20V (or 28V) USB C trigger cable with appropriate adapters. It's also a great setup to play around with solar charging at home or away.
