Do not get this. Write speed dips into 0 mb/s and erratically goes up and down, but never above 20mb/s. Maybe good for a write once, read many type of application.

Did you try reformatting or using a different port?

Not just different ports but also different computers. I'm through with these cheap USB drives. Also have a Transend USB drive in the same price range that corrupts data after a couple of uses. If you value your data, get something decent with decent write speeds

That's fair, data reliability is super important. Thanks for sharing your experience!

I've had this for over 2 years now. Use it fairly often. Reliable and quick. I really have no idea what this other person speaks of.

Purchased several of these for work. They're $#!T quality. The controller is faulty and PNY knows it.

I guess it depends what you use these for, if unimportant data, then it's fine

Personally, I would spend a few bucks more, if your data is important, and go with something where they have a 5 year warranty instead of 1 year like these do

Flash drives in general just don't have good transfer speeds, especially when transferring over a large amount of data. You'd be much better off with an external portable hard drive or if speed is the top priority, a portal nvme drive.

Bought these many years ago and they were and still are fast. Then bought some more recently and they are now sh1t. Super SLOOOWW to the point where you want to throw them out. Not sure why it became so bad with the latest gen. I would stay away.

These are garbage. No way this should have a positive number.

Completely correct. People expect miracles out of these little flash drives. None of them are made to deliver consistent throughout. They're made to move around and store small files.

Echoing all other comments, the PNY attaché flash drives have been awful. I bought these in both 2.0 and 3.0 speeds (because SD effect), every single one of them has been ridiculously slow and unreliable.

A lot of hate for these drives but my opinion is very different. I've had 2 of these over a very long time. One 32GB and one 128GB and both were reliable for a very long time and for me, also fast. Maybe those who had bad experiences are more apt to comment but if I used these things anymore, I'd buy em.
