This looks like a better deal than the rest of the current Thinkpads. The display is one negative compared to those others. The 890m graphics may also be a source of extra heat that this chassis is not equipped to handle. The Intel p14s is built more robustly. Another ironic complaint is that the Ram is not soldered! Despite my love for upgradability, this unit's use of non-soldered ram limits the speed from 8000 to 5600, which is a big deal for igpu uses such as AI.

I wonder if this will get further down by BF

They need to work on better battery life. 8-9 hours is a joke when Intel, Qualcomm and Apple are at 12-16 hours for this price range.

57whr battery? Lenovo should put in at least a 80whr or better, a 99whr battery. This is for business road warriors. Otherwise, the specs are excellent.

Nothing to dowith Intel or Qualcomm here. Lenovo simply needs to add a higher capacity battery. AMD Strix Point which is direct competittor of Intel Arrow Lake H Series and Kraken Point, competitor of Lunar Lake, offer better battery life and slightly more CPU performance, when paird with same capacity battery.

Only one where the current SSDis installed. Almost all 14" laptops normally come with 1 M.2 slot for SSD.

This is still available for $1229.

Does anyone have experience with price match guarantee during holiday season? It says they will match it if it's the same model number, and they extend the period from 30 days to almost 3 months for both returns and price match.

get the 16" model then, with 86Wh of battery. The problem with a heavier battery is the weight.

yeah I think Costco IdeaPad deal looks better considering processors are pretty even in performance but screen and GPU alone compensate for 32GB memory difference.

This one becomes pretty good deal for $1000.

Lunar lake offers way better power efficiency I have seen 19+ hours in testing with 65 Whr batteries

Check the reviews of Kraken Point Laptops, and you'll see similar battery life and better CPU performance across the board. Here is one for you:

AMD Mobile procesors are already very much power efficient to begin with and they did not nee a seperate architecture for their Laptop Pocssors unlike Intel where Intel now has Arrow Lake for high performance and Lunar ake for efficiency. Instead, they simply reduced the core count on the same architecture. I don't get your logic in the 1t place because you have 19 hours for Intel lunar Lake but have you compared it with AMD Kraken point based laptops?

notice how there is not a single AMD laptop in the list.
Just snapdragon and apple along with one lunar lake chip
