This has helped reduce my bald spot. I'd highly suggest the foaming kind. It costs more but the liquid version made my scalp itchy and was more annoying to apply. This only works if the hair follicles are still alive and will need to be used perpetually to keep the results.

I can't agree more, this liquid version also made my scalp itchy, and I am going to switch to the foam version after I use up the remaining liquid one.

One money conscious slick dealer to another, consider the possibility that not feeling itchy for a month is worth the ~$5 you will lose by changing now. I have an unused liquid container under my bathroom sink that I'll probably never use. No regrets, but obviously just my perspective, glad you are changing to foam!

$5/mo is about average on Amazon (so this is pretty good!) and I've used Kirkland for 5 years straight. I regrew a little on my crown but now just holding steady at age 47, so the rest of the hair loss is inevitable but maybe slower.

Overlooked side effect: this stuff is oily enough to stain your clothes, so I now have 2 nice shirts that were ruined by a single drop that fell in the 1-second gap between the bottle and my head.

First world problems. But I'll take topical over oral any day -- my whole body doesn't need hair. In fact, quite the opposite Smilie And system-wide side effects are no fun. That's why I quit Propecia after a few months, too many strange hormone swings. YMMV

I'm on a similar path. I've picked up both the liquid and the foam. I like the liquid because I feel like it's easier to get direct contact with the scalp. BUT, it makes my hair look oily like I haven't showered. So I use the foam on days that I go into the office and then use the liquid at night. The foam also kind of works as a mousse for styling. I also tried propecia for a bit, but I was having negative side effects from it. I've quit that and solely on topical minoxidil now. My hair is still thinning, but I have to assume that it's doing so at a slower rate than if I wasn't doing anything at all.

I use dermaroller + minoxidil foam + finasteride pill daily. It sucks to have this routine but it does work for me. I'm almost 40, started this routine around 31 and it's kept what I had at 31 and grown back some, but it's not full and if it gets wet the worst area at the top of the head still shows it's thin.
